26th Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day marked today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) today observed the 26th Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day at Madan Nagar, Balkhu in the capital city. Today marks the day when late communist leaders Madan Bhandari and Jibaraj Ashrit lost their lives in a jeep accident 26 years ago.

Today also marks the first anniversary of party unification between the then CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre.
